Fathom measures every request that reaches a site at the Cloudflare edge, names the crawlers and AI agents behind the machine traffic, joins Google Search Console to what actually arrived, and tells you in plain sentences which pages are working. No tracking cookies. Visitor addresses are hashed with a salt that rotates daily and are never stored.

Measured at the edge, not in the browser
A per-site Cloudflare Worker records every request that reaches your zone, including the ones no JavaScript beacon ever sees: crawlers, scrapers, API calls, cached hits, errors. You get requests, pageviews, visitors, status codes and cache behavior per page, per site.
Bots and AI agents, named
Machine traffic is classified against a maintained registry of over two thousand crawler signatures, so you see GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Googlebot and the rest by name, with what they fetched and how much bandwidth they cost you. Human numbers stay clean because the machines are counted separately.
Search demand next to real arrivals
Connect Google Search Console and Fathom joins impressions and clicks to the pages that actually received visitors. The insights feed flags the gaps: pages that rank but nobody clicks, keywords one position off page one, pages bleeding errors under search traffic.
Private by construction
No tracking cookies and no fingerprinting. Visitor addresses are hashed with a salt that rotates every day before anything is stored, so the raw address never lands on disk. Raw request data is kept for 90 days; per-minute aggregates for twelve months.
