Terms and conditions

Interim terms, last updated 2 September 2026. Fathom is in early access. These terms are under legal review and will be replaced by reviewed terms; until then they are what applies.

The service

Fathom is a web analytics service operated by SearchActions. It records and reports traffic to websites that an account holder connects to it. Access is by invitation during early access.

Your responsibilities

You may connect only websites you own or are authorized to measure. You are responsible for telling your own visitors about your use of analytics where the law requires it. You must keep your account credentials and any API tokens you provide to Fathom confidential.

Our responsibilities

We will operate the service with reasonable care, keep the data you connect confidential, and delete it when you delete a site or your organization, subject to the retention periods described in the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is during early access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every metric is free of error, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the data. Our liability to you is limited to any fees you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, which during early access is nil.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms; we will post the new version here with its date. Either party may end the arrangement at any time. On termination your data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
